Replacement of Passport (e.g. after 10yrs)
Requirements
- Two copies of fully and correctly completed prescribed application form
- Photocopies of current passport ( the last 3 pages)
- Four (4) passport- sized photographs (Size 2"X1.5")
- Two (2) copies of your Immigration Status in South Africa (i.e. Permanent Residence, Work Permit, Student Authorization etc).
- Additional documentary proof of Kenya citizenship may be required if necessary.
• Waiting period: 4-6 weeks
Payment Methods
- Cash
- Bank Guaranteed Cheques (to the Kenya High Commission) OR
- Postal Order (to the Kenya High Commission). Postal orders can be obtained from any Post Office

Passport for Minors Born Abroad
Requirements
- Two copies of fully and correctly completed prescribed application form
- Four (4) passport- sized photographs (Size 2"X1.5").
- Two (2) copies of your Immigration Status in South Africa (i.e. Permanent Residence, Work Permit, Student Authorization etc).
- Additional documentary proof of Kenya citizenship may be required if necessary.
In addition to the above requirements for adults, minors under 16years should submit the following:
- Certified Copy of the Birth
- Copy of the parents Marriage certificate
- Copies of both parents passports(last 3 pages)
- For children previously endorsed in the parents passport, submit pages of endorsement and birth certificate
• Waiting period: 4-6 weeks

Replacement of LOST Passport
Requirements
- Application letter comprehensively explaining when, where and the circumstances under which the passport got lost.
- Two copies of Police Report or two copies of Sworn Affidavit done by Commissioner for Oath declaring the passport lost.
- Two copies of fully and correctly completed prescribed application form (PP1 for adults over 16 or PP2 for Minors below 16)
- Four (4) passport- sized photographs (size 2"X 1.5") with one photo signed at the back by your recommender (Refer to note nos. 2& 3 in the application form)
- Two copies of your Immigration Status in South Africa (i.e. Permanent Residence, Work Permit, Student Authorization etc).
- Additional documentary proof of Kenya citizenship may be required if necessary
• Waiting period: 4-6 weeks

Replacement of Passport (Mutilated/Damaged)
Requirements
- Application letter comprehensively explaining when, where and the circumstances under which the passport got mutilated.
- Two (2) copies of Sworn Affidavit done by Commissioner for Oath declaring the passport is mutilated.
- Two (2) copies of fully and correctly completed prescribed application form (PP1 for adults over 16 or PP2 for Minors below 16)
- Four(4) passport- sized photographs (size 2"X 1.5") with one photo signed at the back by your recommender ( Refer to note nos. 2 & 3 in the application form)
- Two (2) copies of your Immigration Status in South Africa (i.e. Permanent Residence, Work Permit, Student Authorization etc).
