The Agriculture Attaché’s office in Pretoria issues Import Permits under Kenya’s 'Animal Desease & Rabies Act (CAPS 364 & 365).

This is an International Health Certificate (vet.) and Movement Permit for only Dogs and Cats.

All other animals are classified as Domestic or Wildlife

Requirements for obtaining an Import Permit are:

• Name and Address of the owner or person exporting the animal
• Name and Address of importer’s premises of destination (country, city, town, street)
• Particulars of vaccinations i.e. Veterinary Vaccination Certificate – the pet should be vaccinated atlease 3 months prior to travelling
• The pet should be not less than 3months old

Charges:

R100 (one hundred rands) per pet
