October 2007
Kenya Mission in Pretoria participated in the Annual International Fair (2007) that was held at Union Buildings on 3rd October 2007, in Pretoria. This year marked the 10th anniversary of the International Fair. The theme was “Celebrating Cultural Diversity within the City”.
The International Fair is one of the social and cultural ways of promoting and achieving interaction with the International Community based in South Africa and the local community. It is a cultural, culinary and gastronomic event where international representatives accredited to South Africa are invited to exhibit their respective cultures, cuisine and also granted an opportunity to sell their traditional & country items to raise funds for charity organizations. Money raised is donated to charity organizations, which the international community in conjunction with the Department of Foreign Affairs & City of Tshwane identify. Over fifty embassies and high commissions participated in this imaging, branding and fundraising exercise.
