I need POLICE CLEARANCE from Kenya, how do i get it?
- Go to your nearest SAPS to get your finger prints taken
- Submit clear copies of your current passport
- ALSO Submit bio data page together with pages of the passport with residence permits to stay in Kenya. Thus, even if the passport with endorsement has expired, make copies of the same, and submit with the current.
- Two (2) passport size photos
- Self explanatory letter on why you require the certificate
- Obtain a Postal Order, Bank guaranteed cheque payable to "KENYA HIGH COMMISSION " or cash R200
- Courier all the above or bring them to the Embassy to process.
- Takes about 6 weeks to process.

Alien Registration (once in Kenya)
Why should a someone register as an Alien?
- It's a legal requirement, and failure to do so will attract a fine or imprisonment.
Who should register as Alien?
- Any visitor to Kenya who is over 18 years of age and if his/her stay in Kenya exceeds 90 days from the date of entry.
What are the requirements for Application of the Alien card?
- The Applicant must have a valid travel documents.
- 2 passport size photographs
- Registration fee of Shs 2,000
- Applicant to present himself for fingerprinting
- The renewal fee is Shs 1,000 per year.
How long does it take to process the Aliens Card?
- It takes 5 weeks to process the card.
What is the maximum validity of the Aliens card?
- Two (2) years
What happens in the case of losing the aliens card?
- One should apply for a replacement at a fee of Sh 2,000
- Form A1 or A2 dully filled
- 2 passport size photographs
- Fingerprints to be redone
Can I collect the card for someone?
- The applicant is required to come in person for the card or a written authority from the applicant incase of illness.
Transit Visa (these prices are only applicable while you are in Kenya)
How much does a transit visa cost ?
- The transit visa fee shall be US $ 50.
- The visa referral visa fee shall be US $ 10 non-refundable.
- The current standard visa fee for an ordinary or a Single Journey entry visa shall be US $ 50.
- The standard fee for multiple journey visas shall be US $ 110 for all nationalities.
